KCC CARES ABOUT COMMUNITY 
  In 2005 KCC launched its Adopt-a-Family program.  The Midnight Mission, a local family housing organization, established the Adopt-a-Family program to help needy families have one of the best holidays possible.  Every December KCC sponsors a family in need to fulfill their holiday wish lists.  KCC employees donate items or money to complete each family member's wish list.  KCCers enjoy a "wrapping party" to wrap and deliver all of the gifts directly to the family at the housing facility.

KCC CARES was then born in January 2006 as a direct result of the overwhelming participation in the Adopt-a-Family program.  KCC CARES is KCC's community-involvement program.  Every month, the KCC CARES committee selects a non-profit organization to support by way of monetary contributions, volunteer opportunities or organized donations.  Each month, KCC employees actively participate and have helped many organizations through the years.
